Open Commission
Builders Wanted
We are looking for a builder to help with a small initial world pass — not a massive studio-scale production.
What is Theryn?
Theryn is a persistent Minecraft MMORPG survival server — a living world built around exploration, community, and a mystery that unfolds slowly over time. Players are not chosen heroes; they are citizens settling a land much older than themselves, rebuilding towns, trading, adventuring, and leaving their own mark on history.
The vibe is curious and hopeful, with a sense of scale — the world should feel bigger than what anyone has mapped yet. Modern civilization is warm and frontier-like; ancient sites are dark, monumental, and incomplete. Wonder comes from stumbling on something you did not expect, not from being told the whole story up front.
Long before the capital of Dawnreach, a civilization known only as the Ancients vanished — leaving ruins and repositories across the map. The Archive is not a single dungeon or city; it is the name for their fragmented network of preserved knowledge, scattered in shrines, towers, and hidden discoveries. Players piece together fragments over years; the full truth is meant to stay partially unknown.
The project
This is a modest first commission — Dawnreach, a starter cave area, and a handful of reusable templates (ruins, islands, towers, and small discoveries). We are not asking for a full MMO world in one go.
Builders provide structures and terrain work only — NPCs, quests, and gameplay are handled by our team.
World seed
Want to preview the spawn area before applying? Load this seed in Minecraft — Dawnreach is planned at 0, 0, on the stone beach with forest and mountain behind the city.

Scope at a glance
- Capital city (Dawnreach) at world spawn — harbor, districts, and full shop interiors
- Player market with 20 decorated stall bays
- Starter cave zone with an intact ancient shrine
- Reusable ruin, floating island, tower, and discovery templates
What we are looking for
- Solid Minecraft building skills — interiors and exteriors
- We have loose plans and guidelines, but you have real creative freedom on the details
- Happy to share past work if you have it (screenshots or videos are fine)
Plans & guidelines
Building Guidelines
We have written down what we are hoping for — rough structure counts, city layout ideas, and a general visual direction — in our Building Guidelines. Treat it as a starting point, not a rigid spec. If something feels like too much, talk to us — we would rather have a great build with your ideas than force every checkbox.
